Separate shared and individual costs
Flights, lessons and meals are usually easiest to track per person. Accommodation and transport may be shared. Write down which costs apply per night, per day or once per trip to avoid comparing incompatible totals.
Count the easily missed items
Include baggage, board transport, airport journeys, car deposits and excess exposure, parking where applicable, equipment and excursion extras. A deposit is not necessarily a final expense, but it can affect the funds you need available.
Compare accommodation and transport together
A cheaper room farther from your daily activities may require extra travel. Conversely, a convenient base and included activity transfers could reduce the need for a car. Price both versions of the same itinerary.
Use live quotes
We do not publish invented average daily costs. Get current quotes for your dates and party size, then add a contingency you are comfortable with. Record cancellation deadlines alongside the amounts so the cheapest option is not confused with the most flexible.
