This is not a surf school, tour operator, travel agency, accommodation provider or equipment rental business. It sells nothing, takes no bookings and accepts no payments. Nothing on this site is a guided tour, a booking offer or professional surf instruction.
Consumer dispute resolution
We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Editorial information and liability
This website provides general editorial information about Fuerteventura, including travel planning, surfing, weather and coastal conditions.
We make reasonable efforts to research and maintain accurate information. However, circumstances can change, and we do not guarantee that all information is complete, current or free from errors.
Information about ocean conditions, access restrictions, transport services, prices and availability should always be verified with the relevant official authority or service provider.
Nothing on this website constitutes professional surf instruction, an individual safety assessment or a booking offer.
Nothing in this notice excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
External links
Some pages link to official tourism, airport and licensing sources. The content of those pages is not under our control; responsibility for it lies with the respective provider, and a link is not an endorsement of everything they say.
Privacy
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, advertising or marketing scripts, and has no forms. Fonts and images are served from this domain, so reading a page does not load resources from third-party servers. Nothing is stored on, or read from, your device for tracking or advertising, so no consent banner is shown.
Controller
The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is Johannes Dieringer, Johannes Dieringer Webentwicklungen, Kohlsteiner Straße 23, 81243 München, Germany. For any question about data protection, write to mail@johannesdieringer.de. No data protection officer has to be appointed for this project.
Server logs
When you request a page, your browser sends technical data to our web server. Our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, date and time, the requested URL, the user agent and the referring page) and error logs. We use them to deliver the site, to keep it secure, and to diagnose faults and attacks.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of this site; without this processing the site cannot be served, and it cannot be kept available and secure. We do not use the logs to build profiles of visitors.
Storage: the access logs of the web server are rotated daily and deleted after at most 14 days. A second, size-limited copy of the same log lines is kept by the container runtime for troubleshooting and is overwritten as it fills.
Hosting and recipients
The site runs on a server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. Hetzner processes the access data on our behalf as a processor under Article 28 GDPR and only on our instructions. The server is located in Germany, so no personal data is transferred to a third country. Apart from the host, no third party receives the access data, and none of it is shared for advertising, analytics or similar purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to obtain information about your data (Article 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Article 16), erased (Article 17) or restricted (Article 18), to receive it in a portable format (Article 20), and to object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Article 21). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address above. You are not obliged to provide personal data; you can use the site without doing so.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority competent for us is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
No automated decisions
We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
